Ready for school

A uniform should never stand between a child and an education.

From NEEF to our supporters

We began with 74 children whose fathers had died in Everest porter work or conflict. Their families were struggling, and uniforms and school supplies were beyond what they could afford. As Dilip Singh Kulung identified more children in the same situation, our project grew to 110 students.

The children were measured and their uniforms sewn in Chheskam. That mattered to us: the work helped village families as well as the children receiving the clothes. COVID delayed the distribution until June, but when school reopened, the children had uniforms and materials ready. Your support made that possible.

Education is Freedom.

Warm clothes, shoes and supplies give children a chance to stay in school. Thank you for helping us give them that chance.
